I always call into this donut store and they have my donuts ready when I get there. The owner is so sweet and helpful. o can tell they have a lot of regulars because people are always sitting around chatting with them while I am in a rush. I like their cookies, reasonable prices and sometimes they even give me the warm donuts! I didn't give the last star because they are CASH ONLY and sometimes I don't have cash.

Got 5 dozen donut holes, a dozen chocolate chip cookies, and 5 specialty donuts for $18. Birthday boy and party guests were pleased with the mountain of donut holes. Everything tasted great. Service was friendly. If we lived in the area, I would definitely be a regular!

I had a craving for donuts and Yelp led me to this cute mom-and-pop shop! First off, the smell when you walk in is great! I had to remind myself that I was only there for donuts, lol. I got a box to share with my house and they had a great variety. You can't go wrong with the classics! Taste-wise, they were all really yummy and were all very fresh and fluffy. The prices were great too. Bring cash!! The workers were also very sweet and helpful. I will definitely be back to try the cookies next time!

Ordered a surprise bag via Too Good to Go. I was honestly hoping the bag would have some of the chocolate chip cookies that some Yelpers raved about in their reviews, but I was not at all disappointed by the box so filled with donuts that it would not close. I appreciate that these bags/boxes are picked up at the end of the day versus the next day. The donuts still taste fresh! Pick up was a breeze and parking was easy to find. Not the flashiest store but you don't go to a donut shop for the ambiance.

Yall i have nothing but GOOD THINGS TO SAY ABOUT THIS PLACE!! First, its a mom and pop shop, and the mom is so nice, considerate, and makes a damn good donut/cookie. The place is sorta hidden, but its right on the corner behind the liquor store. Its literally a hidden gem. I got an assortment of donuts, cookies and muffins and i did not have a bad dessert, out of like the 20 i got. If you want to taste pure happiness and excitement then get something from Richard cookie jar.

I found Richards Cookies and Donuts thru the "too good to go" app! I reserved my "surprise bag" and came to pick up later in the day. To my surprise, I got a dozen donuts for $5! Omg what a steal! It's a surprise bag, so they pick what's in the grab bag. I brought it back to work and shared with my coworkers. It was a great mid-day snack! Yummy! I recommend checking out the app to see what other local shops are around and/or seeing if Richards Cookies and Donuts is on there to try out their donuts! I def would love to try and get more surprise bags to see what else I can try next! *maybe cookies????* Honorable Mentions: -plenty of parking

I decided to treat myself to some donuts and so I went to Richard's coz it's been a while. Well, it was a GREAT choice! Damn, their donuts are delicious... soft, pillowy, fresh, and fluffy. I must say AngelFood and Richard's are on par. Both are my favorites now. Since I haven't had donuts in months, I got an assorted dozen and I'm all about sharing after all. Staff was friendly; I was in and out the door in a few minutes. The store was clean and organized. They also good selection of flavors when I stopped by. Decor was sparse and I think this is typical for any donut shop. I was there for donuts, not to be wowed by decorations. Lol. For the yummy treats I ate, the price was reasonable. I enjoyed my donuts and would definitely return. I didn't get cookies this time coz they ran out of the flavors I wanted and I was craving more for donuts.

I remember trying this place years ago when trying to find a good cookie place in the area (before all the Crumbl, Insomnia, etc hype and presence). Its a small, classic corner donut shop that you can charmingly tell has been in the neighborhood for a long time. I recently was reminded of this place after seeing a tiktoker visit here so I came back to support. The owner is so sweet and prices remain so affordable. She has all your classic donuts but it looks made with a small batch feel (aka with love and quality). Her other speciality is cookies (hence the shop name). She has a select menu that shes great at, I always get the chocolate chip. She also had snickerdoodle and oatmeal raisin. She also has slices of sweet loafs, like zucchini, carrot, banana bread. To give you and idea of how affordable it is, I walked out with 3 donut holes and 3 cookies for less than $2. Cash only. Come support!

Location: Brookhurst/Warner This has been my go-to donut shop for the past 15+ years. There's a good reason why. Richard's is my ABSOLUTE favorite for light, airy and fluffy donuts. They hit the mark every single time. If donuts aren't your thing, their cinnamon rolls are to die for. I usually eat half for breakfast and the other half as an afternoon snack ;)
